The Aston Berry Great Yarmouth Sunday League

There were mixed fortunes for the remaining sides in the county cups, with some ties still to be decided.

El Sol set up a repeat of last year's final as they recorded a fine 2-0 victory at Quebec Rovers. Their quarter-final opponents Marlborough were handed a walkover as Sunningdale Boys failed to fulfil the fixture.

The match between Poringland and Camden was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch and they try again this week for the honour of entertaining AFC Wanderers or Norwich CEYMS in the quarter-finals.

Windmill led the way in the Intermediate with a 12-0 demolition of Garboldisham. Camden Tavern Reserves also had a comfortable passage into the fourth round as they defeated Newsman Celtic 5-0.

The league lost Belton United in a tight affair with Aslacton and Great Moulton 3-2 whilst Gorleston Albion were on the wrong end of a 7-0 defeat to Ribs of Beef.

Dereham Wanderers and Caesars Bars will also play again this week following the abandonment of their tie which the home side were leading 3-2.

In the Junior Cup the league has two sides into the quarter-finals as Rumbold Arms returned from Briston with a 6-3 win to set up a tie against Downham Old Boys and in the all-league affair Star and Garter defeated Memphis Belton in a thriller 5-4 to book a home tie with Sprowston Royal Oak.

The league has lost Nothing Special, who withdrew from the competition

on Saturday.

In the second division the derby match at Hemsby went in favour of the visitors Rollesby who snatched a 5-4 win to move to the top of the division.

The third division saw Crown Stores' fine start to the season continue as they beat Carpathians 2-0 whilst Sun FC returned from Bohemians with the points following their 3-1 victory.
