In the Great Yarmouth Sunday League sponsored by Ashton Shaw cup action took centre stage.

Senior Cup holders Windmill won at The Middle Green 5-0 with goals from Adam Thompson, Hayden Ingram, Bobby Self, Lewis Popham and Taurean Malloy.

They will now face last year’s beaten finalists CSKA.

Wheelwrights continued their impressive start to the season, winning against Hemsby 17-1 with Mitch Forbes netting five, Joel Wilson four and Sam Wooldridge getting a hat-trick.

Real Ale Madrid and Memphis Belton both bowed out of the competition.

In the Suffolk Shield Waveney won 3-0 at home to last year’s winners Leiston Orient 3-0 and The Flying Dutchman, also at home, beat Claydon 07 8-1.

The KO Cup first round draw is: True Traders v Wheelwrights, Waveney v Windmill, Flying Dutchman v Hemsby, Real Ale Madrid v The Fusileers.
