EL Sol's great run in the the Sunday Senior Cup ended in disappointment in the final at Carrow Road.
After a nervy start, El Sol took the lead in front of 560 fans with the first real chance on seven minutes, a long kick from goalkeeper Taurean Molloy allowing Andrew Pantelli to dispatch a looping first-time effort over the stranded Chris Hill.
Malborough were quick to respond, Colin Wines' in-swinging corner sailed over everyone and into the far corner of the net.
Norwich-based Marlborough took the lead with Jason Armes' 31st-minute bullet header.
Soon after the re-start El Sol almost grabbed an equaliser when Hill spilled a shot from distance, however, the Marlborough back line did well to scramble substitute Roy Coe's effort off the line after he had rounded the keeper.
And that miss proved costly, as Lee Metcalf rose to meet an Armes centre, before Danny McKail fired high into the net after seizing on a superb through-ball. A fifth goal arrived on 71 minutes, Armes nodding in a cross from the left.
