Locally-based 16 year-old supermoto star Lewis Cornish moved to within a mere two points of the lead in the NORAsport National championships at the weekend.

On his Supermoto International TRM Honda in the DEP 250 Nationals class he took all three race wins at the wet and slippery Three Sisters circuit, Lancs.

This somewhat made up for a disappointing British Grand Prix outing at Mallory Park the previous weekend when the sport's youngest-ever champion retired from the event whilst holding third during qualifying with a broken clutch. Lewis thanked his sponsor Mike Wright of MW Racing for the long hours he had spent preparing the bike which enabled the youngster make the NORAsport race start.

The next race for Cornish (pictured below) means a long trip north to Scotland for the next two rounds of the televised British Supermoto Championships at Crail Raceway, Fife.
