On a lovely morning at the Park Run there were 13 Yarmouth Road Runners in another good field of 110.

Some great performances saw two club and Park Run PBs and another seven season’s-best performances. Icing on the cake was a GYRR winner and another in the top 10.

The amount of miles put into training is often discussed at training nights.

With some of the membership using the website fetcheveryone, the challengers can view how their miles are comparing with the others. Out front by some way is Neil Sibley with 379 miles since the start of the year. Second is Andy Peck on 328.

Matthew Sutton is on 314 miles but that will be increased as soon as he can get online.

Peter Spandler is on 234 miles with his increased training for the upcoming Stratford marathon in April. Mark Peach has 194 miles under his belt as he seems to have his heart set on a Ultra marathon in October.

Sean Jermy and Marie Worrall seem to be chasing each other with Sean ahead at the moment with 152 and 137 miles respectively. Dave Girling’s marathon training is now well under way and is now on 108 miles and Steve Stringer needs to log his runs quicker, but as he’s home from work his miles will increase dramatically.

Next is the Wymondham 20-miler and a large club turnout is expected with marathons coming up in London and Stratford-Upon- Avon. Matthew Sutton will also be in Cambridge running the Cambridge Boundary Marathon. Good luck all.
