ON Saturday in the finals of the Norfolk Junior League at Thetford and Wymondham, Great Yarmouth Swimming Club entered A and B teams. The A team finished third behind Dereham and City of Norwich UEA.

ON Saturday in the finals of the Norfolk Junior League at Thetford and Wymondham, Great Yarmouth Swimming Club entered A and B teams. The A team finished third behind Dereham and City of Norwich UEA. The B team although placed fifth were only six points off third place.

For the A team Zoe Prettyman, Jack Utting, Issac Kirby all gained first places. Laurance King and Keelan Pyewell both recorded personal best times coming second in the U12 backstroke and breaststroke. Ellie Holden promoted from the B team, swam her fastest to second place in the U11 backstroke. Just missing out on second places were Connor Webster and Paige Lovage.

For the B team, William Beck's performance was excellent with a win in the U10 back and a second in the front-crawl. Ryan Trett came bursting through in the U12 front-crawl, just missing first place, as did Lucy Chapman in the U10 breaststroke and Sam Ellis in the U10 fly. Also in touch with first place but only being placed third were Rebbeca Kemp, Georgina Harris, Chloe Beddows, Kelly Pyewell, Curtis Parr, Declan Scott,and James Walker.

Although the club did not achieve first place the overall result was encouraging with 32 personal best times over the two galas.
