SWIMMING: On Saturday, in the final round of the Norfolk Junior League at Wymondham, Great Yarmouth finished fourth.

The results were: 1 Norwich Swan 197; 2 UEA Norwich 175; 3 Dereham 170; 4 Great Yarmouth 148; 5 Little Fish Norwich 135.

The nine years girls gave the team a good start, winning both the special and freestyle relays.

The 10 and under saw a good first place for Atlanta Jarvis in the backstroke, with second places for Clarissa Burwood in breastroke, and Jenna Utting in fly.

Jack Collins continues his good form with a win in the freestyle and a second place in the fly. Aaron Hudson was unlucky in the breastroke, only 0.07sec behind the winner.

For the 11 and unders, Lauren James just failed to catch the Swans’ swimmer, coming home second in the freestyle. The breastroke saw a third for Lauren James in a race with only 0.8sec separating the three swimmers.

The boys were not so lucky with the best place coming from Joseph Windsor Freeman, fourth in the 50m fly.

Taylor Hudson in the 12 and under backstroke came second against a good Swan swimmer as did Bethany Burwood in an exhausting breastroke with a new pb. Danielle Page had two third places in fly and I/M. The boys saw Jake Honey continue his improvement with two new pbs, first in the backstroke and second in the freestyle.

Good support swimming came from Carys Edwards, Emma Gordon, Honey Harvey, Tamzin Freeman, Kioni Bloomfield, Natasha Mansfield, Holly, Amelia Driver, Isobel Robbins, Loretta Askew, Joshua Smith, Ashin Seetul, Luis Boulton, Alexander Goff, Ryan Webb, Morgan Clarke, Samuel Skuse, Tommy Chandler, Miles Houghton and Thomas Clarke.
