Yarmouth Road Runners
On a warm and sunny Friday evening five club members took part in the Worstead Festival five-mile race through the local villages.
First home from the club was Steve Dady, and this was never in doubt from the start. Toni George, Mark Mountain and Andy Peck spent the first part of the race racing each other then after about three and-a-half miles Andy Peck made a break for it and in doing so just finished quicker than Mark Mountain by less than a minute.
Mark Mountain managed to fend off the challenge from Toni George, but only just, as Toni managed a personal best at this distance.
Both of the ladies will have been happy with their evening’s work as Sylvia Dady ran her quickest five mile time in over two years.
