GREAT Yarmouth Town and Gorleston are in FA Cup extra preliminary round action tomorrow.
Yarmouth go to Hadleigh United (ko 3pm, coach noon from the Wellesley) while Gorleston entertain Fakenham Town, also 3pm.
Last week's 4-0 opening league game win at Cornard will have put Yarmouth in good heart, and they will need to be as not only are Hadleigh a competitive side but for the past four seasons the Bloaters have failed to get past the first match in this competition.
The last occasion was when current joint manager Paul Tong was last at the Wellesley in season 2003-4 when Southall Town were beaten 4-1 in front of the BBC's Match of the Day cameras.
Gorleston's gate on Saturday for their 3-1 win over Brantham Athletic was the second highest in Ridgeons League Division One behind Saffron Walden. It was also better than several attendances in the Premier Division. The fans got behind the team on Saturday, which does make a great atmosphere all round.
The four new signings Ben Manning, Steve Taylor, Chad Pillar and Leon Harewood have all settled in well. There was quality on the bench and players of the calibre of Kyle Howell, Adam Thurtle, Pete Lambert and Richie Fruin were all absent. There will be healthy competition for places.
