There was a major upset in the opening Xtrashine Ltd Staff Day Out Maiden Auction Stakes when 20-1 chance Perfect Ch'i defeated the 2-9 odds-on favourite Tomintoul Singer.
The delayed selling race went to Mary Helen at 9-2 - trained in Shropshire by handler Mark Brisbourne - while Pumpkin was the 7-4 winner of Free Betting At Thebookiesoffers.co.uk Maiden Stakes for top trainer Sir Michael Stoute.
The 15-8 favourite Al Qeddaaf took the WaterAid Handicap for Newmarket trainer William Haggas and jockey Richard Hills.
Tyfos (9-2) gave trainer Mark Brisbourne his second winner of the day in the Essex & Suffolk Water Handicap, and 50-1 shot Outland took the Chris Harrison Oldest Stag In Town Handicap under a featherweight.

The closing Mouchel Handicap was won by Excelsior Academy at 4-1.
The next racing at Great Yarmouth is on Tuesday evening 16 June when the first race is scheduled for 6pm.
