Gorleston Rangers FC’s 23rd annual summer youth football tournament, in association with Specsavers, Great Yarmouth, will be held on Saturday, June 18 and Sunday, June 19, at Ormiston Venture Academy, Oriel Avenue, Gorleston.

The Saturday will see play for the U8, U10, U12, U14 and U16 sides and the U14 girls.

On the Sunday it will be the turn of the U7, U9, U11, U13 and U15 squads and the U11 girls.

U7 and U8 is five-a-side mini soccer, U9 is six-a-side mini soccer, U10 and the girls’ sections are seven-a-side mini soccer and the U11 to U16 boys’ sections are five-a-side with head height restrictions applying.

Booking-in times for both days is by 10am, with first group games kicking off at 10.30am. Cost is �20 per team.

For the last few years over 200 teams have entered the tournament.

With entries already received from Luton, Ipswich, Framlingham, Dereham and Norwich – as well as from local teams from Gorleston, Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft – early application is encouraged.

Entries are accepted on a first come, first served basis.
