Title-chasing duo to clash in derby
The top of the Norfolk League Division One throws up a tasty derby tomorrow (Saturday) with leaders Rollesby entertaining second-placed Great Yarmouth.
Rollesby remained unbeaten at the weekend after a 12-run win at Old Catton. They have an average of 24.86 points.
Yarmouth fell to their second successive defeat as they finished 28 runs short in a very low-scoring affair at home to Caister which reduced their average to 18.71.
Rollesby made 216 for eight in reply to Old Catton’s 204 for six for 24 points.
Yarmouth were bowled out for 81 chasing Caister’s 108 and gleaned just seven points.
Great Yarmouth A (151) lost to Eaton (192 for seven) in Norfolk League Division Three seeking their first victory of the campaign.
Half-centuries from Craig Press and Dave Huggins helped unbeaten Norfolk Alliance Division One leaders Acle to reach their 177-runs victory target with seven wickets intact against bottom-of-the table Saxlingham, for whom Dave Adams hit an unbeaten 51.

Acle 179 for three (21pts) beat Saxlingham 176 for seven (4).
Acle have been drawn away to Swardeston, the seven-times winners, in the last eight of the Carter Cup.
They meet their East Anglian Premier League hosts on Sunday, June 26.
Carter Cup quarter-final draw: Great Witchingham v North Runcton, Horsford v Mattishall, Swardeston v Acle, Vauxhall Mallards v Norwich.
Lady Mary Trophy semi-final draw: Bungay v Diss, Bradenham v Hardingham. All ties to be played on Sunday, June 26.
A club record stand of 251 helped Blundeston to the top of Norfolk League Division Five.
Nick Mobbs (aged 20) scored 145 and Lewis Chapman (18) 100 were only 15 short of the league record.
Blundeston (291 for two) beat Colney (125) for 26 points.
