Two junior members of the Yarmouth Three Lions Gym fought their way through the finals of the national schoolboy championships at the Bracknell Leisure Centre Berkshire and emerged as winners.

Two junior members of the Yarmouth Three Lions Gym fought their way through the finals of the national schoolboy championships at the Bracknell Leisure Centre Berkshire and emerged as winners.

Conor Judge (13) had a hard battle with Londoner Ben Singh but landed great punch combinations and powerful body kicks to win the U15 45k schoolboy championship.

Team-mate Daniel Dawson (14) beat London Pumas Gym's Conner Head, boxing behind his skilful jab and non-stop round house kicks, to capture the U15 55k schoolboy championship.

Jade Munro (11) lost her schoolgirl national U13 40k title bout to her Welsh opponent.

Courtney McHugh (eight) was once again in fine form keeping her unbeaten record with an excellent win over her Reading opponent with some excellent jabs.

Daniel Gordon (17) won his bout with a tough London opponent displaying some excellent footwork and hand movement to win on points.

Junior classes are on Tuesday and Thursdays 6.15 to 7.15pm (under nines) 7.15 to 8.30pm (over nines) at 3 Lions Gym, Escourt Road, Great Yarmouth.
