Gorleston FC att-ended the annual Ridgeons League presentation dinner on Saturday to find they were the reci-pients of the Ridgeons Integrity Trophy.

This is an award given every year by the league to a team from both divisions. It is for the best facilities, hospitality, pitch and sportsmanship.

Each week, throughout the season, the attending officials mark the home club on all of these sections whilst the visiting team mark them on facilities and hospitality.

The runners-up this year were Woodbridge but it

was Gorleston who walked away with the trophy, a testament to all the hard work done on and off the pitch by everyone at Gorleston FC.

In the forthcoming season it is hoped that with the great spirit within the

club and its brilliant management set-up, the Greens will endeavour to follow Great Yarmouth Town into the Premier Division, only having missed this season by one place.

Gorleston FC do, however, need help as they are constantly looking for sponsors.

If you feel you can help in any way please call 07895 197169 or 07785 216101.

The clubhouse at Emerald Park will be open on Saturday for the first England game. The bar will be open, with free food.

The club are looking for a football liaison officer to help out.

Anyone interested should write to: The Secretary. Gorleston FC, Emerald Park, Woodfarm Lane, Gorleston, NR31 9AQ for further details.

The date for the annual meeting has been set for July 2 at 7.30pm in the clubhouse. All welcome.
