Great Yarmouth Town and Gorleston, now both in the Ridgeons League top flight, will have to wait until Boxing Day to renew their league derbies, when the old rivals clash at Yarmouth.
The fixture list published this week sees the league return on April 9 next year at Gorleston. On August 13, Gorleston start their Premier Division return at home to Haverhill Rovers while Yarmouth begin a run of four away games at Hadleigh United.
This week, Gorleston said they are looking for their missing link – a first-team shirt sponsor – as they basked in the success of their home match with Norwich City which attracted over 1,000 fans to Emerald Park.
Sunday sees the third Sailor Brown Tournament, in memory of one of the club’s greatest players. The day starts at 10am with entry to Emerald Park just 2.
Manager Richard Daniels has signed ex-QPR, Tooting & Mitcham and Braintree Town player Andrew Howell.
On the Yarmouth scene, the Bloaters have completed the protracted transfer of 20-year-old striker Jake Reed to League Two Dagenham & Redbridge.
