SNOOKER: For the third year running, Potters Leisure Resort is preparing to host the climax of one of snooker’s most high profile and highly contested tournaments, the PartyCasino.com Premier League Snooker.

The semi-finals and final of the event, which will be televised live on Sky Sports, will take place on Saturday and Sunday, November 27 and 28. The Premier League Snooker semi-final and final will be played in Potters’ famous International Arena, known to sports fans across the world as the venue for prestigious events such as the World Indoor Bowls championship.

Now in its 25th season, the Premier League Snooker is the world’s only major snooker tournament played to a league format. The field consists of seven of the world’s very best players, each battling it out over the best of six frames; making a total of 21 matches.

Following the round-robin section of play the top four players move forward to the big money play-offs at Potters in November.

The 2010 player line up is: Neil Robertson, Shaun Murphy, Ronnie O’Sullivan, Ding Junhui, Mark Williams, Mark Selby and Marco Fu.

Mark Williams is currently top of the league table followed by Mark Selby, Marco Fu and Ding Junhui.The semi-finals (November 27) are the best of 11 frames and the Sunday final is over 13 frames.

The event is being broadcast live for over 48 hours on Sky Sports in the UK and Matchroom Sport Television is producing 24 two-hour highlight programmes which will be syndicated globally.
