Eleven games into their first season in the top flight and Tramway have finally broken their duck with a hard-fought solitary-goal win against Gunton.

A battling team performance in difficult conditions was capped by a cool finish from new signing Jason Johnson.

But the man-of-the-match

plaudits went to keeper Adam Bollington for some tremendous saves and assured handling in very unfriendly goalkeeping conditions.

The three points also lifted off Tramway off the bottom of the table as that spot is taken over by Caister A who lost 5-3 at Reedham.

A Scott Charlton hat-trick and goals from Jamie Hopwood and Gary Fitzgerald cement Reedham in fourth place.

Goals from Chris Abbott, Liam Bartley and Tristan Haudiquet earned Golfers Arms a valuable three points as they narrowly defeated Lacon Arms 3-2 and in the process moved above them in the table.

At the other end of the division leaders MK United met third-placed Arches and it was the table toppers who struck after just five minutes when Stu Thompson collected a short corner and

cut inside before unleashing a terrific drive.

That was the way it stayed until the hour mark when an individual bit of magic doubled the lead. A deep cross to the left wing saw Tom Norman running backwards.

He controlled the ball on his chest and juggled it on his knee before hitting a brilliant 25-yard dipping volley in off the bar.

Shortly after Adam Hogg confidently dispatched a third from the penalty spot after a hand-ball.

Taurean Molloy had to be at his best to deny Scott Calver before Arches pulled back a consolation goal.

Catfield's game with Great Yarmouth International was abandoned just before the hour mark.

MK United sit top of the first division and their reserves side head Division Two by five points, their latest three points coming with a 4-0 win at Norfolk and Chance thanks to a double from Dale Crane and one each from Lee Orchison and Ryan Gowing.

However, Albion (GY) sit ominously six points back with six games in hand following a 5-0 win against Paperclip.

Peter Oldham scored twice in the opening eight minutes and Sam Welch added a third after 13 minutes to effectively kill the game.

To their credit, Paperclip continued to battle hard as Johnny Bowles and Rhys Butler completed the scoring.

Carpathians recorded only their second win of the season as goals from Jimmy Young and Ollie Eastwood earned them a 2-1 win at home to Shrublands and this despite falling behind to a goal from Danny Glover.

In the other game Prostar Windows and Great Yarmouth Peelers produced an entertaining

4-4 draw.

This was Prostar's fifth draw in 13 league outings as Steve King grabbed a hat-trick and Adrian Harris with Adam Pope (2), Richard Goreham and Darren Reade replying for Peelers.
