The stage at Potters, during the world championships, was set, the stand packed. The three lads took to the green in a daunting atmosphere and proved to be a real credit to the Acle club.

Two of the boys had to choose different bowls to accommodate the TV cameras. Matching coloured bowls were required and despite playing without their own woods the lads still took to the green in confident fashion.

The trio found their form straight away, a count of four on the first end was swiftly followed with three shots on the next end - but the wheels came off and Mid Suffolk took control to win 15-8.

The Acle juniors can only benefit from this type of experience and can look forward to a very bright future in the game. The boys showed tremendous sportsmanship at the end of the game and applauded their opposition during the presentation ceremony.

Thanks goes to everyone who came and supported the lads. They really appreciated the fact that so many people from the Acle club gave up their time to support them.
