Following success at the Scottish Masters Athletic Championship in Glasgow, Kevin Burgess from Hemsby, who runs for Great Yarmouth AC, travelled to Lee Valley to compete in the British Masters Championship.
Kevin, who turned 60 in February, was using the event as part of his build up for the World Masters Athletic Championship in Daegu, South Korea.
Kevin was again competing in both the 60-metre and 200-metre sprints.
On Saturday he won gold in the shorter event and returned the next day to add the 200 metre gold.
“It is the first time in 20 years as a Masters Athlete that I have won two golds at the British Championship so I am very happy with my weekend’s work.”
Kevin will now prepare for the World Championship, which starts on Monday, March 20.
“I hope I can perform to the best of my ability and thank all my friends and family who have supported me.”
