North Walsham reached the final of the Woodfordes Norfolk Senior Cup with a comfortable 24-7 victory over a battling Lowestoft and Yarmouth side at Scottow last night.
The Vikings effectively had the semi-final wrapped up at half-time as they moved into a 19-0 lead, with Mark McCall scoring the opening try and Shane van Vuuren crossing the line twice, with Alex Graf-Grote adding two conversions.
The visitors hit back after the break with a converted try of their own from Miles McAlone following a charge down and continued to give a good account of themselves in the testing conditions as they were twice held up on the Walsham line.
But the hosts generally had the better of the game and confirmed their place in the final when Bruce van Poortvliet went over for his side's fourth try of the evening.
