Weekend a big hit for Hemsby FC

Hemsby FC hosted their eighth annual football tournament over the weekend.

The Hornets, as the youth section of the club is known, were overwhelmed with the response from teams entering 10 age goups.

The U7, U9, U11, U13 and U15 sides played on Saturday with the U8, U10, U12, U14 and U16 teams competing on Sunday.

The tournament was a great success with lots of feedback received from participating clubs who commented on the smooth running of the event. In many cases e-mails said that it was by far the best tournament teams had been to, which Hemsby FC felt made the organisation all the more worthwhile.

These events help raise funds for the club and enable it to offer affordable football to local adults and children for a total fee of 40 a year, and Hemsby FC are always looking to welcome new players.
