JOHN Higgins maintained his unbeaten record in the 2009 PartyCasino.com Premier League Snooker competition with a 4-2 victory over Neil Robertson, whilst Shaun Murphy and Stephen Hendry achieved a 3-3 draw, in the latest round of matches which came from the Guild Hall in Preston last week.

Higgins, the current World Champion, stayed on course for a play-off place as he moved on to six points, the same as league leader Ronnie O'Sullivan.

The second game of the evening saw Shaun Murphy keeping alive his hopes of reaching the 2009 PartyCasino.com Premier League semi-finals with a 3-3 draw against Stephen Hendry.

Murphy had started the competition with two defeats but recorded a 5-1 victory against Marco Fu last week. If Murphy had lost against Hendry at the Guild Hall in Preston then he would have been facing an uphill task to qualify for the play-offs, although he will be disappointed to not have won after being 2-0 ahead.
