Aston Shaw Great Yarmouth Sunday Football League
Windmill took the honours of the First Division Cup final by beating Great Yarmouth Sunday 3-0.
They will now look to follow this up with the first division title. They are a single point behind Camden after beating El Sol 5-2.
The game of the day was played out at Acle High School where Great Yarmouth Sunday defeated Acle Wanderers 5-4.
Memphis Belton’s sorry season came to its conclusion as they ended their campaign with a heavy 8-0 defeat by Gorleston Albion whilst Hemsby failed to raise a side and therefore handed Rollesby the points.
Martham moved to within one point of the second division title after their 6-3 win at Gorleston Rangers. They can only be caught by Yarmouth White Sox, who won 3-1 at Leisureland. White Sox need to win both their remaining games and need Martham to lose both of theirs as well as overturning a goal difference of 15 in their favour.
Bohemians geared up for the KO Plate final with a narrow 1-0 win at Sun whilst Carpathians picked up only their second win of the season in beating Lichfield Arms 3-2.
Camden Tavern Reserves’ poor run of form continued as they lost 4-3 at Venture Albion.
The league’s showpiece final, the League Knock-Out Cup, takes place at Emerald Park on Thursday between Camden Tavern and Rollesby.
Admission is 3 adults and 1.50 OAPs/juniors. The match is sponsored by Peter Self.
