THERE was only one casualty from the four league teams remaining in the Norfolk Primary Cup with Prostar Windows losing 6-2 to GYDFL old boys Great Yarmouth Town Hall.

Albion (GY) faced another former league side, Freethorpe Reserves, and were held to a 1-1 draw after extra time, with Matthew Oldham scoring the goal that earned a replay at Freethorpe.

A hat-trick from Lee Sweeney eased South Yarmouth into the fourth round, ousting Central Trust in the process.

Great Yarmouth Peelers travelled to Bradenham Wanderers Reserves with only 11 following late call-offs and showed the type of determination and grit they have been missing at times this season. Peelers were dominant in the first half but found themselves a goal down at half-time when Howell was harshly penalised for a hand-ball.

In the second half Peelers quickly got into their stride and finally found what was lacking in the first half - the back of the net. Richard Goreham equalised with a great cross before the hard-working Adam Pope scored the second with a well-placed shot. Pope then scored the third with an excellent pile-driver from outside the box, but with Peelers feeling comfortable they were made to work for the win following a second penalty decision against them.

Four games in the top flight and four wins for the top four, with MK United beating Gunton 6-0 with Thompson (2), Arron Hogg (2), Adam Hogg and Louis Turner all on target.

Chad Pillar netted another five as Catfield cruised to an 11-2 win at home to Golfers Arms, with Adam Hodds scoring twice and Paul Thompson, Karl Barnard, Gary Todd and Ben Tavares once each.

Arches had conceded only four goals in the league before Lacon Arms' Martin McColl doubled that figure. However a hat-trick from Scott Calver and goals from Ben Kiki, Donald Graham and Danny Pollard earned Arches all three points in a 6-4 win.

Reedham remain fourth after an emphatic 9-2 win at Caister A with eight different scorers.

Division Two is headed by four teams as MK United Reserves and Hemsby Reserves joined Albion (GY) and Shrublands on 21 points.

MK United Reserves started well, and in the first minute Ryan Booth's cross/shot caught the Gorleston Wanderers keeper off guard and nearly gave them the lead. However, a minute later Gorleston Wanderers scored. MK started to dominate but late in the half Gorleston Wanderers broke and against the run of play and doubled their lead.

MK soon got back into the game when Brandon Ingram made amends for first half misses and scored. Midway through the half Jack Stewart made it all square when the ball come to him 25 yards out from a corner and he drove it in via a slight deflection. With 18 minutes remaining Ryan Gowing capped a fine performance when he had to run nearly backwards to elude the offside trap and then race onto the ball and round the keeper and fire home to give MK the win.

Gorleston Wanderers never gave up and in the last 10 minutes had a few good chances. But they found keeper Dean Chilvers in great form.

Hemsby Reserves started brightly against Carpathians with some neat, attractive football and quickly took the lead through Wayne Dowler. Hemsby added a second through Cain Esherwood and a third quickly through James Hunt to lead 3-0 at the break.

In the second half Hemsby continued to put Carpathians under pressure and went 4-0 up through James Hunt midway through the half. Hemsby then made three changes and from one completed the scoring, a deft flick by Richard Nottley deceiving the keeper.

Martham A recorded their third win of the campaign with a 4-0 win against Great Yarmouth United thanks to goals from Michael Blogg, Robert Pugh, Matthew Kitchin and substitute Daniel Harrison.
