Dave Patterson got the new coarse fishing season off to a flying start with a bumper River Yare bream bag on the opening evening.
The chef lecturer said: “I went fishing after completing an evening working in a restaurant and found the bream shoals of the Yare wanting to be fed as well.
“I fished corn and worm on a size 12 hook and went on to catch 50lb in a short session on the Beauchamp Arms section of the river.
“The river is in fine form and is showing the potential of again being one of the top rivers in the country.”
