In a Junior Gala for the Cape Cup on Saturday, Great Yarmouth Swimming club won with 136 points ahead of Dereham 120, Lowestoft & OB 108.

The girls the 8/u saw a first place for Lucie Ingham on backstroke, and a second in freestyle. Bethany Kemp was second in breaststroke and Lucy Gordon third in freestyle.

The 9/u saw two first places for Macey James (backstroke and breaststroke), Charlotte Barker (freestyle), and Hollie Haylett (fly) plus a first in backstroke for the 10/u. Winner in this age group was Hermionie Parker (freestyle). Molly Quarry in her first gala was third in fly. The 11/u saw a first in backstroke and a second in freestyle for Tamzin Freeman,and good swims from Natasha Mansfield Holly first in Fly, second in breaststroke.

The boys rivalled the girls with a first freestyle and a second in backstroke for Jacob Zanderbergen 8/u and two seconds for Jack Hartley freestyle, and breaststroke.

The 9/u boys Tommy Chandler was first in freestyle and a second in fly. Harry Grice with a fast time was a clear winner in the backstroke.

Leroy Honey in a tight finish won the 10/u freestyle, and Ryan Webb led from the start to win the fly and a second in the breaststroke. At 11/u Joshua Ford had to be at his best to win the freestyle and was second in fly. Miles Houghton won the backstroke and was second in breaststroke.
