A strong turnout from the Great Yarmouth Road Runners took to the course at Wymondham last Sunday. The route takes in some of the local villages in the surrounding area and some hills on the way around as well. With marathons in London and Stratford quickly upon us, this race is ideal preparation. It also gives the runners a chance to assess how their training is going. All the runners should be happy with their times and training as there were a couple of club records and PB’s on Sunday.

It’s a race around the edge of Cambridge, with several hundred runners, taking in all that the Cambridge countryside has to offer. As usual there was both half and full marathon options, with a well-marked course, several drinks stations, transport back from the half marathon finish for those who need it and a T-shirt for all finishers.
