On Saturday at Mildenhall a Great Yarmouth SC junior team swam in the RP Valves Trophy and had an excellent win, with 136 points - followed by Mildenhall A 112, Newmarket 92, Midenhall B 70.

On Saturday at Mildenhall a Great Yarmouth SC junior team swam in the RP Valves Trophy and had an excellent win, with 136 points - followed by Mildenhall A 112, Newmarket 92, Midenhall B 70.

Taking part in a gala for the first time in the U8 age group for the boys were Leroy Honey and Morgan Clarke, both of whom gained first places. For the girls Clarissa Burwood, and Atlanta Jarvis got good second places.

The U9s saw Gabriella Crick and Amelia Driver swim away to win the fly and the freestyle. The boys responded with two first places from Aaron Hudson breaststroke, and fly, and a backstroke first place for Miles Houghton.

The U10 girls continue to shine, winning all four events: Danielle Page breaststroke and freestyle, Taylor Hudson fly and backstroke. The boys again improved on their personal best times with two wins for Alexander Goff freestyle and fly, and the backstroke for Patrick Manning.

The U11s found places hard to come by with Grace Baxter beating the

cut-off time and two seconds from Ellie Newman freestyle and backstroke. The boys had to be content with a good third place from Thomas Clarke with James Walker beating the cut-off time in his event.

Catherine Lee, in the U13s, won an exciting freestyle race with a fighting swim. Rebbecca Spry was just pushed into second place in the backstroke and Carla Tawell in a close race came fourth in the breaststroke. Kelly Pywell beat her cut-off time. James Mann easily won the fly. A third place came from Keelan Pywell freestyle and a fourth from James Mann breaststroke.

Also swimming were Jake Honey, and for the parents relay team Linzi Clarke, Kerry Burwood, Chris Jarvis, and Kevan Pyewell.
