Young Thai boxers shine

Five Great Yarmouth junior Thai boxers were in action in Leicester with four out-pointing their Midlands and Liverpool opponents.Henry Andrews (12), having his first ever bout, looked excellent outscoring Tyree Stevens (11) of Leicester Assassins gym with lovely punches and some good knees in the clinches.

British Champion and England squad member Jade Munro (12) fought Liverpool's Sasha Ryan (15) for the third time, outscoring the three-year-older Ryan in every round with her superior footwork and better kicking, off her classy double jabs.

Ben Mitchell (12) fought a more experienced George Seymour (13) from the Leicester Assassins Gym and used his strong body punches to take the fight out of the Leicester lad, who was totally outclassed by the Oriel High School pupil.

Luca McComb (7) outscored Northampton's Tyler Scott (6) with excellent front kicks and jabs.

Michael Andrews (12) was fighting with a knee injury but still fought well, his opponent just had a higher work rate.

All the fighters train at the 3 Lions Gym on Estcourt Road in Yarmouth.
