Kyle Amies, 10, was promised an overnight carp fishing treat during his school holidays by his father Jason of Gorleston Tackle Centre.
Jason explained: “We chose the Waveney valley carp fishing complex at Wortwell and fished Heartsmere Lke last Saturday night.
“He caught one fish at 2.30am, the result was Kyle's biggest carp, a common weighing 21lb 12oz (it took me over 20 years to catch a 20lb common!)
“The fish was caught on 12lb line, size 6 hook and Kyle used a 'cell' 15mm boilie at 45yards out in the middle of open water.”
