BOHEMIANS U11 GIRLS in the first round of the cup were away to North Walsham. Manager Andy has been experimenting with the team formations and this match was no exception. Indianna slammed the ball into the net for her first goal this season. Briarnie and Millie added to the score with Ella netting from long range for a four-goal half-time lead. After the restart a resurgent home side proved hard to break down, North Walsham going close on many occasions. With Bohs solid back line being stretched the defence did well to maintain another clean sheet. Ella scored again in the last few minutes admitting after the match that it was a pass rather than a shot. Bohemians are looking for a goalkeeper to join the team, ring Andy on 443788. BOHEMIANS GIRLS U16, at home to Gorleston Rangers, were struggling with only eight players of whom Sasha had a bad back. Charlotte Eaton scored a couple of quick goals and Remy did likewise, Dayna and Megan and Charlotte H added further goals to put Bohs in control at half-time. In the second half Libby played outfield who scored a couple of quick goals. Charlotte H and Dayna completed their hat-tricks, Megan got a second and sandwiched in between was an own goal before Sasha finished the scoring off with a great volley. Becks had a really good game but squandered a sack full of chances. Thanks to Rangers who kept going right to the end and had a couple of efforts well saved and received good vocal support from their supporters.

BOHEMIANS TIGERS won 3-1 against a sporting Waveney B on Sunday with only 10 men due to holidays and illness. The boys believed in themselves and their ability and played some fantastic football as they passed the ball about, negating the one-man disadvantage. Three first-half goals from Jack gave the Tigers a 3-0 lead at half-time before a brilliant long-range effort gave Alex in goal no chance for Waveney to pull one back. Tigers regained their composure and comfortably held on until the end. The most pleasing thing from the game though was the fantastic spirit shown by the team who played great football throughout and played for each other. The whole team won man of the match but there were notable performances from Alex in goal, Callum in midfield, Jack up front, a fine debut from Ryan and an excellent strong display again from the defence as a unit. Thanks also went to Waveney for a cracking sporting and friendly atmosphere.

BOHEMIANS U12 GIRLS played their first cup game against Kirkley & Pakefield. Bohs were very organised and deserved their 4-1 win. Bohs scored in the first few minutes through Molly and they played a great game. Bohs made the ball do all the work with the good passing and receiving. Martha scored the second with a powerful shot. Kirkley scored from a corner kick. Second half Molly scored her second goal and Zoe made a great run and found the back of the net. Leanne had many attempts on goal and worked very hard along with Millie in midfield. Nicole, Megan and Toni played very well keeping out the Kirkley girls and if they did have a break Jacki was there to stop them. PoM: Martha. Emma and Martin were very proud of the girls and their result after a great game.

BOHEMIANS GIRLS U15 were away to Hockering in the cup, and it was easy to see why they are top of Division Two. Bohs struggled with the new formation. A nasty injury to Chloe after five minutes forced a change, and the introduction Megan had an immediate impact as she set up Libby for the first goal and scored the second, and these two fine players added a third and a fourth with Libby's second coming from a great early long pass from Mollie, who had an excellent game. Neneh, who was battling hard for every ball and working really hard, got her first just before half-time. Second half Neneh scored her second following a fine run and cross from Natalie, who is having a terrific season. Megan and Libby both got their hat-tricks and sandwiched in between was a fine individual goal from the Hockering striker. A really solid team performance and mentions also go to Ellen and Juliane who both had solid games as did Marcie and Sasha, and Hollie's distribution in goal was first class. CAISTER U9B, after two weeks without a game, got back to league action with a comprehensive 8-1 victory over a never say die Shrublands side. Leading at half-time with four goals from Alex Q and a deflected Richie shot, it was clear some of the hard work on the training pitch was paying of - the passing was much improved and positional play was better. Second half goals from Alex Q, Will and the poacher, Daniel Fuery. Shrublands never gave up and pulled one back with an excellent chip from distance. Man of the match, the hard working midfield dynamo Harley.

COBHOLM BOYS U12 lost 10-0 against St Benets B. It's a team game and when you all start to work as a team, you should start to see a different result - improvement. Training 10am sharp Saturday.

COBHOLM BOYS U9 played at home against a good Hemsby B side with both teams creating numerous chances, but eventually Cobholm ran out 3-1 winners. Cobholm fell behind midway through the first half when a lack of concentration and communication let Hemsby through. After that the players kept on their toes, knocking for the equaliser which finally came with Keanan battling hard and quick feet from William F laying it off for Mazie to score another cracker. Second half Cobholm came out fighting with Jacob battling in midfield after replacing David. Cobholm took the lead when Will F got the final touch in a goalmouth scramble. Jacob sealed the game with a good strike into the bottom corner. MoM: Keanan. Training 10am sharp Saturday.

COBHOLM BOYS U8 again started off slowly, allowing Bohemians to get a good head start. Another game of two halves, the first half being out-played, the second half playing really well. Good passing and tackling all round, Keiron having a good game along with a few others, but with a good all-round performance, MoM: Charlie.

GORLESTON B U9 lost 11-0 to Weaveney B. A hard fixture after sickness in the team left them with only five fit players and no substitutes for Sunday's match. Although they suffered a heavy defeat it was not as bad a performance as the score line suggests with all the players giving 100 per cent effort and not letting their heads drop. Man of the match went to Haydn in goal who pulled off some great saves, although the whole team played well and worked hard throughout.

GORLESTON RANGERS U12B were able to reverse the fixture with Swindell to get the match on. The team looked splendid in their new kit. The match started well with both teams enjoying possession and playing some good football and a number of chances were created but it took until the 28th minute before the deadlock was broken, when Ryan hit the net. Rangers upped the pressure in the second half and when Dan was fouled in the box, Lee hit a powerful penalty to make it 2-0. Max then had a great run and covered almost half the pitch and put a nice ball through which Dan slotted away. On the full-time whistle Tom wrapped the game up to make it 4-0. Swindell battled hard but in the second half Rangers had raised their game and took the chances. A great effort from all the players, the defence had a solid game and helped to keep a clean sheet. The link up play from the midfield to strikers was very good. Man of the match for a very hard-working performance was Ryan. GORLESTON RANGERS U13A entertained Waveney B and ran out comfortable 8-1 winners, Rangers opened up the scoring courtesy of Cameron Brooks' powerful header from a delightful Charlie Mclean cross, Rangers slight lack of communication allowed the visitors to pull a goal back before Ben George hit an unstoppable 20-yarder soon followed by Joe McCabe and Callum Batley both finishing decisively to give Rangers the 4-1 half-time lead. Second half Rangers played some excellent football, the touches, movement and final ball were a joy to watch. Jay Turner got the ball rolling again with a delicate left-foot finish, an exquisite pass inside from Dan Deag was finished by Joe McCabe completing his brace before taking a well-earned rest. Cameron Brooks again finished well to make it seven and finally Callum Batley neatly chipped the advancing keeper to score his second and Rangers' eighth. Excellent performances all round but in particular both Ollie Brown and Ben George stood out in defence to claim the men of the match award. Next match v Loddon away, kick-off 11.30am. GORLESTON U10B had a break from league action to play fellow club side Gorleston Rangers A, a measure of how well the Bs have progressed. The first half was a tight affair with the Bs showing great workmanlike ethic. Shaun was the busier of the two keepers making several fine saves through the first half. Aaron was solid in defence and dealt with everything very well to keep their forwards at bay. Luis battled well to minimalise the amount of time the A team had on the ball along with Ben, Henry and Alex who showed similar qualities and great link up play when attacking. Sam tried hard up front to relief the pressure on the Bs' defence. The As' strength in depth and pressure took its toll on the Bs' defence when they scored with a few minutes to go before half-time. The second half saw some changes with Max, Joel and James PR coming on. The Bs continued to work hard but could not do much to prevent the As scoring five more times and taking the deserved victory 6-0. GORLESTON RANGERS U10D entertained Swindell who applied lots of pressure throughout. William made three brilliant saves in the first quarter whilst at the other end Michael had a shot go over the bar and Dan had a shot saved. The game was end-to-end the whole way through but Dan, picking up the ball in midfield, hit a fantastic shot for Rangers' first goal. Jack C struck the ball well just wide and Callum made a good clearance with Jack F straight away going in for a fantastic tackle. A good goal from Swindell saw the scores even. Michael, Dan and Jack C had some great strikes saved by a determined Swindell keeper. Rangers were awarded a corner which captain Jack C took well, giving Michael the opportunity to score. The second half again saw end-to-end play, Jack F and Callum tackling and clearing and William making some awesome saves. Swindell earned themselves a corner which resulted in a goal. Joshua B and Matty came on with five minutes to go and worked very hard. Joshua B was running the left wing with good effect and Matty almost scored. The boys are still undefeated in the league. GORLESTON FC U7A visited Waveney C. Gorleston FC consistently played well throughout with involvement from all players from the goalkeeper to defence through midfield and the forwards. All players showed determination, creating excellent football, making the ball do the work. Both teams were well supported, creating an enjoyable atmosphere. On behalf of the U7s' manager, all players and their families, we would like a special mention to Johnny Gooch who took over the reigns for the first half of the game. It was appreciated by all players and their families.

GORLESTON RANGERS U8A were back in action away to Kirkley & Pakefield, wanting to get back into their flow of lovely passing and attacking football. Rangers started on the attack, with Reagan in goal doing a fine job, making some good saves, and Tommy in defence disciplined with his tackling. Cameron and Ben did their jobs in midfield with constant running and Ethan up front ran into good positions, the ball just not getting to him. Rangers had a couple of good chances denied by great goalkeeping. Abi on went on up front in place of Ethan and Ben came off for James with hi pacey runs. Abi looked as if ball was glued to her foot at one stage. Abi went close only for the keeper to deny her again, Abi and James got into great positions but it just wasn't happening. With few more subs second half Rangers started to grind down their opponents. Well played to both teams and thanks to both sets of supporters for their great support. MoM: Tommy, a great game.

GORLESTON RANGERS U10A played in the cup on Sunday against Rangers B at Lynn Grove. From the start the boys were in control and played some great football. They were soon 1-0 up with a great shot from Markus which the keeper couldn't hold. Tyler L scored his first and the A team's second. The boys spent most of the time camped in their opponents' half. With some great passing starting at the back they were soon rewarded with another goal, again scored by Tyler L. Callum soon got on the score sheet with a couple of goals and Tyler got his third and the team's sixth of the game. The team of TJ, Harrison C Jayden, Hazza, Alex, Harrison T Diogo, Markus, Callum and Tyler l played with great commitment and showed after two weeks without a game they hadn't lost the urge to win. GORLESTON RANGERS U9B lost 3-0 to Hemsby Hornets A in the cup. The boys battled well but did not take their chances to score. Kane made some good saves, Luke, Ryan and Harley defended well. Jack and Lewis gave Hemsby problems with their strong running and Adam buzzed about as usual.

GREAT YARMOUTH TOWN U10 started their defence of the Knockout Cup with a David versus Goliath battle against fourth division Kirkley & Pakefield F. Kirkley battled very well throughout but Yarmouth dominated from start to finish, playing some neat football and making some great moves with some unselfish play. Yarmouth opened the scoring early when Thomas Hunter placed a first-time effort into the corner of the net, and soon added to their lead with a double from Jordan Rodwell and then a fourth from Thomas Hunter. Owen Wright had the opportunity to open his account but was unsuccessful, due to a string of saves by the home keeper. The second half sawYarmouth dominating and playing some lovely football. They continued to add to their tally through Bobby Jex, Thomas Sims and Thomas Hunter. Kyle Haylock played his part on the right wing, rifling home an unstoppable shot, Alex Sawyer scored two cracking efforts and Callum Aizlewood completed the scoring with a good finish. HEMSBY HORNETS U9 STINGERS entertained Gorleston Rangers B in the preliminary round of the League Cup on Sunday. Hemsby settled quickly and were passing the ball with confidence, keeping possession well and creating chances but Gorleston also had a few early chances Archie G making some excellent saves. With Kahn, Jim and Ben covering defence and being very quick to close on players, there were very few clear chances for Gorleston most of the game. After some fantastic passing during the first half, the deadlock was finally broken by a lovely cross from Archie S which was neatly put away by Rowan. Calum and Tom shared the attack and later both found the back of the net to make the final score 3-0 to Hemsby. Confidence in the team is high after a series of good results and the players are showing adaptability in their positions along with good communication as changes are having to be made on the pitch, a credit to the entire team. Again it was hard to choose a man of the match but Archie S really stood out. Next, at home again to Kirkley & Pakefield, 10.30am kick-off.

HEMSBY HORNETS U10B entertained Sole Bay in the preliminary cup round and came away with 3-1 win, (Kristian 2, Regan). First half the Hornets had plenty of the ball but had trouble finding their men, and when they had time on the ball they were content in playing long balls when a short pass was available. Second half was much better and they produced a good team performance when the correct passes were made which then created plenty of chances and three goals were scored. Well done to Louis who was voted parents' man of the match. Well done to all the Hornets, a very encouraging team performance second half. No game this week, next game November 8 away to Loddon, time to be announced.

HEMSBY U9 WASPS' captain Jed led his troops in a tough game against a strong Cobholm side who had a full compliment of substitutes available. Hemsby only had six who battled bravely throughout in a high tempo game. Starting brightly, Hemsby attacked with composure, Ryan hitting the post after good work by Thomas. Cobholm increased the pressure with some good corners but Elliott stood firm in goal and Jack was strong in the defensive tackle. MoM: Liam for his determination and being in the right place at the right time.

HEMSBY HORNETS U7B travelled to a good passing and well organised Gorleston FC B. This was Hemsby's best battling performance yet. Hemsby had to defend for most of the game, which they did superbly. From Aaron in goal to striker Toby every player remained positive and gave their all. Aaron claims the man of the match with some excellent saves and good distribution. Every player played their part in an entertaining and enjoyable game, which was well refereed. BLUNDESTON MAGPIES U11 away to Mutford United saw their unbeaten run came to an end with a 2-0 defeat. Two evenly matched teams coped as best they could on the hard, uneven pitch to produce a midfield battle with little goalmouth action at either end. Magpies had the better of the first half efforts with some long-range shots from Callum, Kyle, and the best from Matthew that hit the bar. James also tested the keeper with a long-range free-kick. At the re-start, Mutford attacking down the slope came into the game with some early chances which led to the first of the two goals following corners, the second a fine header from close range towards the end of the match. Sam was the busier of the two keepers earning himself the man of the match award as a consolation, also facing a twice-taken penalty miss. A disappointing match for the boys but they can be proud of the start they have made this season.

ORMESBY LADS U10 away to Long Stratton, came up against their strongest opponents so far and the home team pressed forward right from the start with Andrew and Ben having to work hard in defence and Antonio making some important saves. After 10 minutes Long Stratton took the lead when a poorly-worked short goal kick allowed the striker to pinch the ball and stroke it into the net. Ormesby slowly gained a hold as half-time approached and Leon and Jamie had good chances and Carter was denied by the keeper. Ormesby started confidently in the second half and deservedly equalised when Ben shrugged off his defender to thump an unstoppable shot into the net. Jordan and Brandon had half-chances to give Ormesby the lead and Ben and Carter were seeing a lot of the ball as Ormesby pressed forward. Victoria came on and put herself about, making several good challenges, and Andrew did well to cut out some good through balls and nearly found the net on a couple of occasions. With five minutes remaining, Carter was presented with a glorious chance to score a winner when a scuffed goal kick went straight to him. He took the ball forward and unleashed a strong shot but the keeper produced an excellent save to redeem himself. MoM: Ben for a strong, determined performance and excellent goal. Next match is at home to Kirkley & Pakfield E ko 11am Station Road.

ORMESBY LADS U10 hosted their good friends Freethorpe looking to continue their excellent start to the season. Ormesby opened the scoring when Brandon scored his first goal for the team. Carter scored two cracking goals and there was some good passing and movement, especially from Ben, Carter and Brandon. Jordon completed the scoring in the first half, pouncing on his own rebounding shot off the keeper. In the second half Freethorpe made several good attacks as they came into the game more, but Andrew defended well and Antonio looked confident in goal. Carter scored two more goals either side of Ben's well taken goal and Leon put in a cross that Jordan headed goalwards, only for the keeper to tip over. Victoria and Jamie also had some good chances, but were denied. Thanks to Colin and his team who are a credit to him and their parents for their perseverance and ability to play with a smile on their faces, despite the result. MoM: Brandon, hopefully his first goal of many.

GORLESTON RANGERS U8B visited Martham Boys last Sunday. Jaydn, George and Joe played very well in midfield, passing the ball around to create scoring opportunities. In defence, Harrison again played brilliantly, with Jamie and Logan helping to keep Martham at bay. Ethan, in goal, was in fine form and made a string of fantastic saves. This was Ranger's best performance of the season so far and everyone who watched the game was very proud of how well they competed. MoM went to the outstanding Jaydn for an excellent performance in midfield. Rangers would like to thank team sponsors, Harman Brothers Plastering and Busy Bees Nursery for their continued support.

SHRUBLANDS U13 entertained Bohemians B on Sunday. The boys were keen to get their season back on track after two defeats in their first three games. Shrubs totally dominated, taking the lead in the first few minutes. This was added to as Shrubs raced into a 4-0 lead before Bohs pulled one back. This lifted Bohs until Shrubs added to their lead to make it 5-1 at half-time. The second half saw Shrubs make a few changes which worked well and they scored four more goals to finish the game 9-1. A good all-round team performance. Norfolk and Suffolk MoM: Ollie for providing some great crosses, giving good width also popping up with a goal against his old club. Goals from Tom 3, Coby 2, Kay 2, Ollie and Jackson one each. Next match 10.30am ko away to Halesworth.

SHRUBLANDS U13 GIRLS are playing U13 and U14 league this season so girls get to play every week. This is their first season at nine-a-side after a very successful three seasons at mini soccer, winning three leagues and two cup finals and one runners-up cup. After losing on penalties the girls recruited some additional players this season. Nicky Shreeve back after one season at Norwich Girls and Merrick Will/Courtney Charlton and rest of girls that have been with Julie for long time and one more player has come on board to strengthen the U14 squad as all others are U13. Welcome on board Katherine who has settled in very well. All girls are adjusting to nine-a-side and are doing very well.

STALHAM YOUTH U10 played Reepham and won 6-2. They were back to their winning ways first half, playing their passing football. Daniel played a great ball through to Byron who scored, and then Joseph's kick from goal found Byron again, who made it 2-0. However. For the last 10 minutes of the first half Stalham stepped down a gear and let Reepham into the game. But for Joseph in goal, Stalham's PoM, for the second time already this season, Stalham would have finished the first half level. Stalham started the second half with more enthusiasm and a great passing move between the team set up Troy who scored a fantastic goal, assisted by Byron, to make it 3-0. Byron completed his hat-trick after Josh played a good pass to him. Josh, Sean BK, Matthew and Ryan all had good games in midfield. Harry, whose strength shone during the game, then scored the fifth with a cracking strike, assisted by Byron and scored again to make it six. Chris and Daniel had brilliant games in defence and William played well in goal second half. Reepham continued to work hard in the second half and scored two goals. Result: 6-2.

SWINDELL GIRLS U16 at North Walsham lost their first game this season 3-1, a player down and with no regular keeper. They got off to the best possible start, Smudge's shot bouncing over the keeper and in after only one and a half minutes. Porsha nearly made it two, her shot flying over. Mags up front held the ball up well and Walsham were pinned in their own half for long periods. Mags had a penalty saved., which proved the turning point. Betty, Gabi had good chances, Lissa in goal was a surprise, cool and calm, well in control. Second half an awful mix-up led to an equaliser and then another howler saw Walsham 2-1 up. Swindell re-grouped. Mags saw shots g, wide and saved. Gabi, Porsha, Smudge and Bet had many chances. Paisley made some great blocks, Meg worked really hard. A third goal came right at the death. Thanks to referee Mr T Bullman who had a solid game. PoM: Lissa (a little diamond in goal).

STALHAM U12A were away to Reepham U12 who scored after 10 minutes. Stalham responded straight away when Adam buried the ball in the bottom corner after seeing his first shot saved. Dom M won the ball in the middle, passing it out for Aiden to chase down. Ryan won it, passed it out wide to Adam, who buried it again past the keeper into the bottom corner. Dom M won the ball well again, hitting it nicely out to Adam, who crossed. Aiden won it and lifted a nice ball for Ryan to head home to make it 3-1. Dom M again won the ball, hitting it out to Adam who put a lovely cross into the box, which hit a Reepham player and went in. Dom M battled to win the ball, passing to Aiden who hit an unstoppable shot into the back of the net. Aiden had a shot from the 18 yard box, which slipped through the keeper's hands to make it 6-1 at half-time. The second half saw Reepham score another early goal. Ryan dropped in from up front to win a goal kick, which he passed superbly out to Matti who placed the ball across the goal into the bottom corner. Ryan won the ball again, ran it forward and placed an outstanding ball into the top corner. In the last minute Ryan passed a good ball out to Will who ran it down the wing and sent a bullet into the top corner to make the final score 9-2. Player-of-the-match: Ryan.
