Bohemians U11 Galaxy welcomed Bradwell Brazil back to New Road on a perfect autumn morning. Again pre-match team talk was all about closing the opposition down from the start and using Galaxy’s pace to attack.

Straight from kick-off Galaxy closed Bradwell down and didn’t let the visitors settle on the ball. On six minutes a surging run from Joshua found the back of the net. On 11 minutes a powerful run from midfield by Floyd found Mitchell who calmly took his chance.

The whole team was working hard for one another and moving the ball with pace and finding the gaps for team mates to run into. On 18 minutes Charlie won the ball in centre of the pitch who played Joshua in to claim a first-half brace.

On 23 minutes Joey found space and his shot hit the post which on the rebound Mitchell was first to react and put it into the net. Again Galaxy seemed to switch off and a good counter attack from Bradwell allowed them to score. On 30 minutes a Mitchell cross found a Bradwell defender who was unlucky to divert it into his net. A great stop by Trent put the ball over the crossbar and at half time it was 6-1.

The second half was a lot closer with both teams pressing for goals, some good forward play by Matty and Joe who constantly moved opened up the space for the quick players to exploit. Kalvin, Floyd and Charlie were all doing a great job in the centre winning the first ball and setting up attacks and the pace of Kieran, Joshua, Mitchell and Joey were a constant menace to the Bradwell defenders.

At the back Connor, Joel and Trent were always alert and quick to react to any threats. On 53 minutes a great run by Kieran allowed him to score and with the game drawing to a close a Mitchell through ball found Joey who made it 8-1.

Credit to each and every Galaxy player who pulled off the game plan with ruthless precision. Man of the match was Mitchell.

Bohemians Meteors U11s travelled to Lynn Grove, with all 11 boys available for the first time, to take on newly formed AC Mill Lane, for their fourth league game.

The home side made a spirited start to the game, and took a two-goal lead in the first 10 minutes. This poor start didn’t deter Bohemians and they began to fashion their own chances and took the game to AC.

The home team’s keeper then made a fantastic flying save to prevent an Arvee effort from just outside the area, tipping the shot round the post. The hosts also had a couple of efforts of their own but Zak was equal to them.

A great bit of skill by Jordan in his own half was followed up with a fine through ball to Oliver, who fired an effort just wide of the post, the same player then went close again, with another narrowly wide shot.

The turning point of the contest came within the first minute of the restart, when an unchallenged run was finished off with a neat finish. This third goal so early in the half completely knocked the stuffing out of Meteors and AC went on to dominate proceedings and apart from a couple of Oliver attempts, one saved, one wide.

it was mainly home team attacks, with only an overworked Zak and his defence standing in their way. Four further goals followed, most of them solo efforts. Player of the match - Zak.

Thanks to our sponsor, Hydramec. Meteors are still looking for one more player to complete their squad, please contact Richard, 07415 381656. Next week, Cup first round, home to Long Stratton, kick off 12.

FC Bradwell u12 Spain played a third tough game on the trot against Mutford. Unfortunately, the same level of desire and commitment that was displayed in the last two games could not be reached and FCB soon found themselves 2-0 down. A bit of a rally by the FCB lads led to them pulling it back to 2-1 with a good finish from Harvey, however, Mutford soon made it 3-1. The second half was very even with neither team really stretching the keepers and the game finished 4-1 to Mutford.

MoM was Hayden who made endless quality saves. Macey picked up the CMoM for his hard work.

FC Bradwell U12 England faced a very good Martham side. Bradwell started well and Connor finished well after some good work from Finley. Liam and Dan put England into the lead.

Martham dominated the rest of the first half and equalised following confusion In the England defence at a corner.

The rock like defending from Kyle, Asa and Kieron Kept Martham at bay. Martham continued the second half where they left off and took a well deserved lead. England got back into the match through Dan who found the ball at his feet and rifled the ball into the back of the net, levelling the scoreline. England started to put Martham under pressure.

Noel And Tucker worked hard to try to play the killer pass as England pushed for the win. Martham also had chances but Joe was equal to them. Fenton stepped up for his second wonder goal of the season, a 14-yard strike leaving the goalkeeper stranded. Kai nearly carved out an opportunity before Liam popped up In the box with a sweet left foot strike at a corner to make it 4-1.

The result was harsh on Martham who deserved to get something out of the game. Manager’s MoM Connor. Parents’ MoM Kyle.

Freethorpe Under 9s played away against Bradwell Brazil. Another workmanlike performance with glimmers of Freethorpe’s quality on show. Will and Jakob both played a half in goal and both made solid saves to keep Freethorpe in the game. A couple of lapses at the back made the game more difficult.

But Freethorpe battled on showing their usual team spirit. Ross made tackles all over the pitch. Billy and Josh kept running throughout. Alfie, Eddy, Elliot and Rhys played their part. Will made a difference in powering past players towards the end of the game.

MOM Tobias, continued from last week, with another strong performance.

FC Bradwell U8s Spain continued their season with a home game against a very strong Brooke Juniors.

A move straight off the training ground saw Samuel find Luca down the wing. He got to the byline before he crossed the ball for Dylan to finish with a neat half volley. Soon after Luke was on hand to win his one-on-one battle with a great save.

A goalmouth scramble saw Lincoln go close and when the keeper parried Jenson’s shot, Freddie was on hand to slot the ball home. We then witnessed a goalkeeping masterclass as Luke pulled of save after save.

The half ended with MOM Freddie producing a quick fire double to complete his hat-trick .

His third was a tremendous run holding off defenders and staying on his feet before placing the ball in the bottom corner.

The second half saw both teams playing some great football and both goalkeepers in top form. As the game came to a close Jayden found Dylan with a great through ball and his shot was blocked and went out for a corner. Olly stepped up and scored direct from the corner to finish off an excellent game by both teams.

Acle U12s welcomed Freethorpe. Acle started the game with with their usual high tempo. A fast attacking game from both teams was end to end with chances for both sides.

Acle attacked down both flanks and where unfortunate not to take the lead when Max was played in with the Freethorpe defence doing their duty. We took the lead midway through the first half with a fortunate bounce off Ollie’s back beating the keeper at his near post, we had our lead.

We carried on pressing and again played the ball around for Max to produce a defence splitting ball for Ben who was unfortunate not to score, but then another attack down the left hand side found Ben in space who, from outside of the box hit the top right hand corner to put us 2-0 up.

Freethorpe had their chances but again Bailey stood firm in his goal to deny them that opportunity. Freethorpe started the second half the quicker and again had two good opportunities with our defence and keeper keeping them out.

Once we had got into our stride again with the back three pushing higher up the pitch, we began our advance on the Freethorpe goal again with some really good free flowing football ending in an attack down the left hand side with Ben grabbing his second goal of the game.

We had a number of corners in quick succession and added another, with Sam grabbing his goal to make it 4-0.

We made a few substitutions and one paid of immediately with another defence splitting pass, this time from Johnny for Reece to run onto from just inside the half and beat the defence to put us up 5-0.

From a corner Jacob put another perfect flighted ball to the back post for Ollie to break into the box and score with a unstoppable header, 6-0.

Freethorpe did get a break with minutes to go to grab a goal for themselves but it was a great team performance with some free flowing football.

Another good result for Acle, finishing 6-1.

FC Bradwell Brazil U7 travelled to play Sole Bay United. Smiling faces of Freddie and George U after grabbing the goals this week.

The boys did some really good passing and were unlucky not to score more with both Ben and Harry coming close.

They never let their heads drop and all really enjoyed the game.

Man of the Match was Freddie for overall great play and his first goal of the season.

Martham U12 v Bradwell England U12 was always going to be a tough match with Bradwell running away with the division. Martham started well and were unlucky not to score on several occasions. This cost Martham as with their first attack Bradwell scored. This seemed to spur on Martham and Martham dominated long periods and before half time deservedly equalised.

The second half started as the first ended with Martham pressing forward and five minutes into the second half took the lead.

Following a couple of robust challenges Martham were forced to change players.

This affected the team’s shape and the outcome of the game was Bradwell 4 Martham 2.

Next game Freethorpe 12ko meet at Freethorpe.

Caister Gladiators U10s played Kirkley and Pakefield Pirates in a close fought, competitive game. Caister were solid at back in the first half with Ben, Harvey and Freddy limited Kirkley to only a few shots, with Ethan making some great saves when they did breakthrough. Half time score was 0-0.

In the second half the midfield of Aaron, Harry and Chase was full of energy and some great passing and link up play from Olly found Kiam in space and he scored to make it 1-0.

Caister could have had more but panicked in front of goal and did not hit the target. they were made to pay when three minutes from the end a long kick downfield from a Kirkley defender found the forward in space and his shot from distance found the net. Final score 1-1.

Caister Gladiators U10s travelled to Belton to play Bohemian Mustangs.

The first 10 minutes were evenly contested with neither side creating any chances. Kiam came on from the bench and scored with almost his first touch with a good finish from close range after a great through ball by Chase.

Freddy was looking solid as always at the back and was well supported by Jake, Harvey and Harrison. Kiam scored his second after some good work from Aaron in midfield.

Ethan was replaced in goal by Jake in the second half and Olly showed a good attitude by playing out of position in defence.

Bohemians almost made is 2-1 but Jake pulled off a tremendous save to keep a well earned clean sheet. Late in the second half Kiam claimed his hat-trick with a fantastic top corner free kick.

Really good effort all over the pitch but passing can be improved and Caister need to finish a little better in front of goal. MOM Kiam Clarke for a great hat-trick.

Caister Roma U9 hosted Freethorpe and started strongly with Alfie Bowers finishing off good work from Finley Bryanton who then got on the scoresheet himself. Freethorpe fought back well to score three goals before Fin completed his brace and Mason Fruin squeezed home a goal. Freethorpe completed the scoring in an entertaining match with the last kick of the game when they bundled the ball home from a corner.

Caister then visited Beccles Town Hornets and didn’t start too well and were indebted to Blake Perry making some key saves before Dylan Grimmer put them in front just before the break. Dylan then went onto to notch a further three good goals before the home side scored as Caister were making a substitution. This week Caister visit Waveney Thundercats, 11.15ko.
