A teenager is to appear in court after being charged with a series of motor offences involving a mini motorcycle in Great Yarmouth.

The teen, who is 16 and cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with dangerously driving a motor vehicle, driving while disqualified and driving a motor vehicle without insurance.

The charges were made after police officers were alerted to a mini motorbike being ridden on the streets in the town.

The bike was seen being ridden on Marine Parade, down the pedestrianised Regent Road and through the town centre, between 12.30pm and 1.40pm on Thursday, February 22.

He was then arrested by police officers and charged, since being released on police bail.

A Tweet from Great Yarmouth Police also stated the rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the offences.

He will appear at Great Yarmouth Youth Court on Thursday, March 15.
