THE Time and Tide museum will be celebrating International Older People's Day in style on Thursday.

The main focus is the range of activities, events, and services on offer for older people in the borough.

Volunteers from Great Yarmouth Museums will be on hand to show how people can get involved in local museums.

Acclaimed artist Bruer Tidman is giving a brief talk about his memories of the town and Tony Mallion encouraging people to get in tune with the classics.

There will also be a chance to donate your own reminiscences to the Great Yarmouth Voices oral history archive.

Visitors can get moving and enjoy demonstrations of Egyptian Dancing, T'ai Chi, stick work, exercises, and find out about local services from HAPPI, Ageless Opportunities, Older People's Network and Age Concern.

Ageless Opportunities development coordinator Kate Platt said: “This will be a terrific opportunity for people over 55 to try some new activities and find out what's going on in the Borough for them. There are so many fun and interesting things available.”
