Gorleston Coastwatch is hosting the glittering variety show on Saturday, November 8, starring Blackpool's top voted solo artist Andy Eastwood.

A virtuoso on ukulele, banjo, violin and guitar, Andy's act is an upbeat blend of dazzling instrumental artistry, foot tapping songs and bright breezy humour.

The event, supported by local restaurant Key Largo, features a variety of top performers including Great Yarmouth born Adrian Jeckells, whose career spans acting, singing and directing. Adrian, who has been the principal of the London School of Musical Theatre, will compere the evening accompanied by his wife Helen. The couple have worked together on a run of successful pantomimes.

Up and coming talent in the borough will also be showcased during the evening with a performance from the Yarmouth Youth Brass Band, who will perform music from the Walt Disney Collection and a mixture of traditional and modern brass band hits.

Songs from across the years will be performed by the Festive Singers - a group of friends who sang in different choral societies for many years coming together as a group eight years ago.

The group will perform numbers including Waltz of my Heart, Over the Rainbow and a selection for Les Miserables.

Press officer and watch keeper Mike Cooper said sponsorship from a number of local businesses including BWell Health Club and Flameskill, had been crucial in putting the show together.

The event will raise vital funds for the local station of the National Coastwatch Institution - a voluntary organisation responsible for making sure sea and beach goers stay safe.
