KENNETH Williams' waspish wit takes centre stage at Lowestoft's Marina Theatre this weekend in the laugh-a-minute production of Stop Messing About calling as part of its national tour direct from its triumphant West End run.

Stop Messing About is set during a live recording, packed with outrageously funny sketches, parodies and songs, which reunited Kenneth Williams with his Carry On co-star Joan Sims and Hugh Paddick transporting you back to a time when comedy meant being funny, with scarcely a swear word in sight.

Robin Sebastian won huge critical acclaim for his portrayal of Kenneth Williams in the West End production. His many other theatre credits include The Producers, The Three Musketeers as well as the West End production of Round The Horne...Revisited. His television credits include My Family, The Basil Brush Show and Spooks.

Stop Messing About comes from the pens of comedy writing legends Johnnie Mortimer and Brian Cooke.

They wrote many television situation comedies and sketch shows, including Man About The House, Father Dear Father, George and Mildred and Robin's Nest. Together they wrote shows and series for such comedy legends as Bernard Cribbins, Marty Feldman, Frankie Howerd, Bruce Forsyth, Ronnie Barker and Tommy Cooper. On his own Brian wrote series for Leonard Rossiter and Paul Nicholas and Johnnie wrote a long running series called Never The Twain for Donald Sinden and Windsor Davies.

Performances run tonight, Friday, at 7.30pm with two performances on tomorrow at 2.30pm and 7.30pm, for more information or to reserve your seats, call the Marina Box Office on 01502 533200.
