ARE you a juggler, a dance group, a singer, a yodeller? Do you have a talent for entertaining?

Then a Variety Show at the Pavilion Theatre in Gorleston needs you - to help raise money for Cancer Research.

The Variety of Life show on June 5 will follow auditions being held later this month based on Britain's Got Talent.

Organised by Betty's Barmy Army - a team competing in July's Relay for Life event at Caister High School for Cancer Research - the show will aim to raise money and showcase talent from across the borough.

Local theatre companies, dance schools and individuals are being invited to audition for a place in the show at the theatre on Sunday, May 17, at 2pm. Auditions are open to singers, dancers, comedy acts and good old fashioned variety acts.

The judging panel will be Mercury editor Anne Edwards, Stuart Durrant from the Pavilion Theatre, head of tourism Alan Carr, Karen Youngs from Greater Yarmouth Tourist Authority, and Felicity Rowan, co-producer.

The theatre will be open to the public to watch the auditions free of charge although people will be asked for donations.

The winning act will be allocated a slot in the variety show on June 5.

To enter the competition simply fill in the form and send it to The Variety of Life, Pavilion Theatre, Gorleston, NR31 6PP, by Thursday, May 14.
