Art at Caister lifeboat sheds

More than 150 paintings will fill the Caister Lifeboat sheds with colour as the charity hosts its second art festival.
Artists from across the local area will be displaying their work - featuring scenes of the sea and coastline, as well as many other subjects.
Many of the pictures and paintings will be up or sale, with a 20pc donation made to Caister Lifeboat included in the price.
Sylvia Beuzekamp, an artist as well as a volunteer at the Lifeboat Experience, said it will be a vibrant show.
“There will be well over 100 exhibits entered from several local art clubs from around the area.
“Also many more pictures will be on display from the Caister schools, which have a long-standing and close association with the lifeboat.
“Hopefully a lot of people will come along, and even if visitors don’t want to buy a picture they can have a cuppa in the cafe and maybe buy a ticket for our big raffle which has lots of prizes which have either been crafted by local artists or donated by the volunteers.”

Caister Lifeboat Art Festival starts on Sunday, and is open on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays through to Sunday, October 16, from 10am to 3.30pm at the Lifeboat Station on Tan Lane. Plenty of parking is available on the council’s Beach Road pay and display car park.
