The Winter's Tale is sure to be a family favourite. The Winter's Tale has been described as “Shakespeare's Sistine Chapel” and one of his most moving and exuberant achievements.

Celebrating it's 10th anniversary, Rain or Shine Theatre Company this summer re-creates the Bard's sublime masterpiece, set in the glorious outdoors, and which sweeps breathtakingly from jealousy, rage and loss to redemption, reconciliation, and finally - wonder. Passion, love, and reunion rule this beguiling dramatic comedy. Along the way, it visits kings and queens, playful children, a singing street peddler, dancing shepherds, a most extraordinary statue, and a famously hungry bear.

Directed by James Reynard, the eight-strong Gloucester based professional troupe's 65 date whistle-stop tour encompasses outdoor venues across the UK from the tiny Channel Island of Alderney to Northumberland and from Wales to Norfolk - visiting along the way some of the land's most beautiful and picturesque castles, stately homes and gardens.

The tour includes a performance in Ormesby St. Margaret village centre on Saturday June 14 at 7.30pm. Tel 01603 630000 or buy tickets on-line via

www.rainorshine.co.uk. Locally call 01493 731438, 732556 or 730178. Audiences are invited to bring their own low-backed seating or rugs, and a picnic, to maximise their enjoyment of the 'al fresco' performances.
