TICKETS are now on sale for Gorleston Theatre Company's next production, Now That's What We Call Broadway, which will be staged at the Pavilion Theatre in early April.

The show is a musical spectacular of singing and dancing based around Broadway and West End musicals. Gorleston Theatre Company chairman Jayne King said that they had chosen to base the show around more recent musicals, trying to avoid the old familiar musical favourites for a change. “There are so many amazing songs in some of the newer shows, and it's been really good working on them in rehearsals. The show is definitely a big challenge for our cast, as some of the music is extremely difficult, but there are also quite a few light-hearted and funny songs in the show which have been great fun to work on,” she said.

The show features music from several Tony award winning musicals including Rent, Avenue Q, Wicked which opened in the West End in 2006, and Spamalot, written by Eric Idle and based around the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Tickets are now on sale from the Pavilion Theatre box office on 01493 662832 for the nightly performances at 7.30pm on April 9, 10, and 11 and a matinee performance on April 11 at 2pm.
