HAVEN Holidays' holiday parks in the Great Yarmouth area are going green this weekend with a special eco-festival. Staff will be dressing in green as the holiday parks from Caister to Hopton hold a Big Green Weekend.
HAVEN Holidays' holiday parks in the Great Yarmouth area are going green this weekend with a special eco-festival.
Staff will be dressing in green as the holiday parks from Caister to Hopton hold a Big Green Weekend.
Activities include recycled fashion shows, poster-making, discount bike hire and herb garden planting.
Tree planting, a wildlife photography competition and creating a wormery and ant farm at the Wild Duck Holiday Park, Belton are planned.
The Big Green Weekend also takes place at Caister Holiday Park, Seashore Holiday Park, Great Yarmouth and Hopton Holiday Village.
All four holiday parks hold David Bellamy Gold Conservation Awards and take pride in being at the forefront of good environmental practice.

Haven has switched to recyclable bags in supermarkets and water-saving devices and low-energy light bulbs have been installed in most caravans.
The measures have helped the holiday parks reduce power use by 10pc and make big reductions in water consumption.
