LIBRARIES across Norfolk will be holding a series of special events to celebrate Black History Month in October. Black History Month aims to highlight and celebrate the achievements of the black community and increase awareness of the significance of the UK's black heritage.
LIBRARIES across Norfolk will be holding a series of special events to celebrate Black History Month in October.
Black History Month aims to highlight and celebrate the achievements of the black community and increase awareness of the significance of the UK's black heritage.
The free Kick It Out exhibition will visit Gorleston Library between October 16 and 31.
The exhibition celebrates the achievements of pioneering black footballing heroes and sets their achievements against a sporting and historical backdrop.
Kwanzaa celebrations and workshops will also take place at libraries across the county. Based on the first harvest festivities in Africa, Kwanzaa aims to keep positive African values and traditions alive around the world.

African Crafts with Tony Ogogo - Saturday, October 25, Gorleston Library, 9.30am-3.30pm
African Arts & Crafts Workshop - Friday, October 31, Yarmouth Library, 9.30am-12.30pm & 1.30-4.30pm
Kwanzaa - Tuesday, October 28, Acle Library, 10.30 - 11.30am; Wednesday, October 29: Gorleston Library, 2.30-4.30pm;
Thursday, October 30, Caister Library, 10.30 - 11.30am; Yarmouth Library, 2.30-3.30pm; Friday, October 31, Martham Library, 2.30-3.30pm
