On Wednesday, April 28 at 5.15 am and Friday, April 30 at 5am people can experience the peace of Barton Broad at dawn aboard the silent solar boat 'Ra' while experts interpret the sights and sounds on this 1� hour trip.

There will also be a cooked breakfast at a local restaurant. The trip, suitable for wheelchair users, costs �15 for an adult, �10 for a child and �45 for family. To book ring Hoveton Tourist Information Centre on 01603 756097 or 01603 782281.

Those who prefer the wild beauty of the Southern Broads you can take a early morning trip along the River Waveney in an Edwardian style launch, 'Liana' on Thursday, April 29, at 5.30 am.

The trip will be rounded off with a well deserved cooked breakfast at the Waveney House Hotel, Beccles. The price is the same as the Barton Broad trip. To book ring Beccles Tourist Information Centre on 01603 756093 or 01502 713196.

For landlubbers, there is a two mile early bird walk around the Lound Lakes Reserve on Wednesday May 5 - provided you can be there for 4.30am.

There will be an expert on hand to identify the bird calls and a bird ringing demonstration by the East Norfolk British Trust for Ornithology. Cost is �4, and to book ring 01603 756093 or 01502 713196.

Finally, on Thursday, May 6, from 6-9am a three mile dawn chorus walk will take you round Whitlingham Country Park with an expert to help you identify the birds from their morning song. The Cost is �4, and to book ring 01603 756094 or 01603 617332 to book.
