THE stage is being set in Caister for a carnival inspired by all the greatest hit musicals.
Norfolk Broads Lions Club is still taking applications for stall and parade space at the event, on June 26, which takes the showstoppers from Broadway and London’s West End like The Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon and Mamma Mia, as its theme.
The entertainment programme in the Arena and around the playing field is looking good, organisers say. refreshments will be available from the Air Training Corps and the Scouts, and this year the club will be providing a hot dog and burger service.
People are urged to support their local volunteer groups and have a great day out. The carnival site is the King George Playing Field by kind permission of the management committee and the parade will be starting off at approximately 1pm from Halt Road. All collections will go to the Lions Charity Funds.
