IT IS the swinging sixties revisited with mini-skirts, mods, rockers, green parkers, black leather jackets, flower power, Beatle haircuts and pirate radio stations.

Stage Door Youth Theatre will be performing the 1960s hit cult show A Slice of Saturday Night at the Pavilion Theatre, Gorleston on March 27 and 28.

Director Sheila Pascall said: “The production, written by the Heather Brothers and produced in association with Samuel French Ltd. is a musical pastiche that takes you spinning back to the swinging sixties to celebrate the eternal embarrassment of being a teenager when hems were high and fringes low. Saturday night always meant the Club a Go-Go.”

Special guests include The Lazy Poker Blues Band and Chris Darnell playing a nightclub owner Eric “Rubber Legs” De Vene, who, according to Ms Pascall, would appear to be stuck in the rock'n'roll era of the 1950s.

There are special rates for students with ID cards.
