Dusmagrik Young People’s Theatre Company’s latest production is next week - oh yes it is!

For the first time in 26 years, the group is presenting a traditional pantomime, Cinderella, instead of a musical this November. Director Mary Carter said: “Our members were very excited at the prospect of doing a panto. Competition for some roles was very keen with five of the older boys vying to become Cinderella’s larger than life comic Ugly Sisters. They were very entertaining auditions and I could have cast all five but in the end the roles went to Adam Ferguson and Jake Annison. Both boys had leads in Cats two years ago with Adam playing Bustopher Jones and Jake playing Old Deuteronomy.

Cinderella opens at the Pavilion Theatre at Gorleston on Thursday, November 17 and runs until Saturday, November 19 with shows at 7.30pm and a matinee at 2pm on the Saturday.

Tickets available from the theatre box office 01493 662832 or go to www.gorlestonpavilion.co.uk The group has chosen to support East Anglian Children’s Hospices Nook Appeal with a bucket collection at all performances.
