Comedian and writer Sara Pascoe - recognisable from Live at the Apollo, 8 of 10 Cats and Mock the Week - is the latest in a series of headliners to top the bill at the monthly WCB Comedy nights at St George’s Theatre in Great Yarmouth.

She will be live at the King Street venue from 8pm on July 9.

Organisers of the monthly stand up shows said the night treats its loyal punters to “the best from the international comedy scene” having previously featured Canadian Katherine Ryan and Kiwi funny man Jarred Christmas.

It also features UK acts and, occasionally, acts from right here in Norfolk. This month an opportunity has been afforded to brand new Gorleston comic Ross Downs to make a mark on the comedy scene.

Ross, who works at OAASIS Group on the Gapton Hall Industrial Estate, impressed WCB Comedy when appearing at their monthly gig in Oulton Broad. Other comics appearing are WCB favourite Jon Murfin, London based Dubliner and seasoned club comic Rory O’Hanlon and Essex based comic Liam Sullivan.

Tickets are £10 (£12 on the door) and available from www.wcbcomedy.com or the St George’s box office on 01493 331 484.

There is also a special five for the price of four deal available on all WCB Comedy gigs. Email paul@wcbcomedy.com.
