Theatre and a live concert performance comes together to tell the remarkable story of a recently re-discovered 18th century Italian composer.

Domenico Zipoli had been all but forgotten until an astounding cache of his original music manuscripts were discovered in a church toilet building in Bolivia in 1972.

The show, entitled The Imperfect Pearl, is performed by a string ensemble, led by harpsichord, and two award winning actors and singers who bring the composer’s extraordinary story to life, accompanied by his own compositions.

The atmospheric story comes to Great Yarmouth’s St George’s Theatre on Wednesday, May 20 at 7.30pm with support from the arts and community development charity Creative Arts East.
