A Springtime Classical Concert will be held on March 13, 7.30pm, at St Mary's Church, Martham. There will be a wide variety of music all in a classical vein. Compositions from 1500 to 2010 including Widor's Toccata, Saint Saens' Swan and the first performance of Womack Water, a new piece for horn and piano composed by Patrick Hawes. Rehearsals have started for Great Yarmouth Choral Society's next concert, Faure's Requiem and Vivaldi's Gloria - two of the most loved works in the choral repertoire. The next Recorded Music Circle concert is on Monday February 8 at Christchurch and is a program of mainly Russian music with the exception of the first piece which will be Rossini's William Tell Overture and the rest of the program will be all Russian composers and will include the Prokofiev Symphony no. 7, Capriccio Espagnole by Rimsky-Korsakov and Tchaikovsky's Capriccio Italien as well as a selection of other Russian music.
