HOPTON Fete committee hasn't let the grass grow - it's already set the date for its extravaganza for this year and set in motion lots of fun.
The committee is again made up of members of Great Yarmouth Lions Club and Hopton Parish Council, and the important date for villagers to remember is Sunday, August 15. Money raised from the event will go to local organizations and charities.
There will be marching bands, son, dance and other arena acts as well as the successful walking Carnival Parade through the village.
All those who took part in the parade, as stall holders, concessions and attractions will be contacted by the committee with entry forms for this year.
A programme of events will be distributed to every Hopton household the week before the fete, and local businesses are invited to support this as all proceeds will be spent on local good causes.
